Reserve residences offer students the opportunity to live in a community environment with friends and classmates while studying, enjoying the benefits of campus life, and taking advantage of campus services. Living on campus is a great way to get involved with student organizations and make friends who will become lifelong friends.

University Housing is committed to supporting student health and wellbeing during their time at ASU. To help ensure that all residents have a positive residential experience, we have created a suite of services to support their wellbeing.

The Residential Community Director and Assistant Residential Community Directors are professional staff members who oversee our residential communities along with our undergraduate Resident Assistants. They are responsible for helping our communities form each year, getting to know you as a person, and creating an experience where you can thrive, learn, and grow.

They work with you to create a supportive and inclusive community by ensuring that you have access to the resources you need, guiding you through your academic and social experiences on campus, and encouraging you to find your pathway at Case Western Reserve University.

A Residential Community Director is a full-time, master’s level professional staff member who supervises our residential communities and supports undergraduate Resident Assistants and graduate assistants. They are also responsible for coordinating the student experience model and supervising all undergraduate team members across campus.

These professionals are dedicated to ensuring that each and every student has a positive residential experience, so they have taken the time to learn about a variety of topics and issues. These include COVID-19, mental health, and ensuring that our housing spaces are safe.

We encourage students to take part in activities that promote wellness. These are a great way to meet new people, have fun, and develop leadership skills.

Our resident community centers and lounges are the perfect place to socialize with your peers, study, and unwind after a long day of classes. In addition, we have an on-site fitness center and an outdoor pool.

Many of our students participate in varsity sports, clubs, and other organizations on campus. In order to host an event in a University Housing space, you will need to submit a request using our Room Reservation Request Form.

There are some restrictions on how and when these requests can be submitted. You must wait to hear back from the Business Operations Supervisor about whether or not your request has been accepted.
